We all made it home safe and sound!
I don't even know where to start...what an amazing adventure this last week has been! Actually it probably has to go back to them getting announced they won the trip in Detroit...all the excitement, planning, fundraising, drama, fun, and bonding! I can truly say this is an amazing group of kids! They can go from laughing and joking to serious to a difference of opinions back to laughing and joking in a matter of minutes! Thank you to everyone who supported them in anyway!!! They couldn't have done it without you!

Isaac got to have 1 lap around the track as a practice run. He started out in 6th position and finished in 1st!!! The excitement is pretty high here!!! However we just found out the dang peak flow meter did not work so we do not know how much fuel he used. They also had a problem with this thing in Detroit so hopefully they can get it figured it out soon and Isaac will do it again!!!
Good morning from London!!! Today is race day - the day we have been waiting for! We have had some questions as to why I haven't been posting very much...I have to apologize! For some reason I can not post pictures from an apple device so I have to wait til we are with the boys and can use my phone that Logan has before I can post pictures. So I will do a quick word only update. They have made 2 qualifying runs to be able to compete this afternoon. The first one was 538 and the second was 553. Both of these were better then their winning run and North American Record in the Detroit! They have done others - but these are the ones that mattered!!! They made a few changes and went out to test but the flow meter had issues so we had to wait for the people in charge to come and check it out. So now we should be ready to go today! Last night we all went together on the London Eye. This morning we all started packing up, making sure we all had room for our souvenirs and then heading to the track. Good luck today and whatever happens this has been an amazing experience!!!!

I apologize...I am unable to post pictures at this time! We are still trying to figure it out. Today the tech line was long and they did a lot of waiting but they passed what they did get to. They have four stations left to complete! They will be 1st in line to finish up tomorrow. They are enjoying their apartments, they are cooking their own meals and having a great time!
Our group took a couple of tours and are having a great time. We have to be up early tomorrow as we are going to Stonehenge and Bath.

The Alden-Conger Supermileage team and families would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the generous support we have received in our efforts to send the entire team of students to London for the world Driver's Championship. We are happy to say we have reached our fundraising goal. Anything raised over and above our goal will be used toward funding the Supermileage program into the future. A heartfelt THANK YOU for all the wonderful support!
There have already been a few fundraisers that were already planned before we even dreamed we would reach our goal this quickly...so we will continue with these fundraisers and any of the proceeds will be used in future Supermileage endeavors!
We would love to list all our donors and businesses who have helped in our fundraising efforts individually, but even in our diligent efforts of keeping track of everything we would feel terrible if we missed someone. So if you have helped us in anyway, donated, joined us for a meal, purchased a shirt or bag, filled your car up with gas, or held a fundraiser in our honor THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Truly from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU - we couldn't have done it without you - we know who you are!
The car has been shipped and we are all eagerly getting all our planning for the trip wrapped up!
On a final note, I wanted to dispel any rumors that have been going around. The fundraising we have been doing is ONLY for the 7 remaining kids on the team that are going to LONDON. The adults (other then Boz, who is going on Shell's dime) are paying for their own travel expenses.
Again, another huge THANK YOU!!!
