Four firsts!!

We did it!  First place in the four categories we entered!  There are five categories at Brainerd, we entered cars in four of them and took first in all four. Here are the results:

Experimental-658 mpg average. 2nd place was 231 mpg and third place was 202 mpg.

E85-864 mpg average. 2nd place was 291 mpg and third place was 282 mpg.

Stock-pulled out a win with 693 mpg average. 2nd place was 674 mpg and third place was 446 mpg.

Modified-1,204!!!! Mpg average. 2nd was 628 mpg and 483 mpg.

The team did a great job, worked hard and had fun.  We also got a lot sun!  The adults heard lots of compliments about our kid's behavior and conduct. Alden-Conger can be very proud!!

Mid day standings-all in first!!

E85-744.84 mpg average. Best run 953.33 mpg. Second place at 215 mpg.

Stock- Back in first at 627.58 mpg average. Best run 701.64 mpg. Second place at 558 mpg.

Modified-1,046.85 mpg average.  Best run 1,275 mpg. Second place at 515 mpg.

Experimental-627.65 mpg average. Best run 698.65.  Second place at 180 mpg.

Here in Brainerd they take the six best runs and determine your average. Doing some last runs before clean up and awards. Looks like they will be bringing home lots of hardware!!

The kids are up early getting the cars ready to hit the track!

End of Day 1 results

Three cars are in first place and one car is in second place by only 3 miles per gallon.  Gates open at 7:00 am and the team has a few changes they want to make before the 8:00 am track starting time.

Car number 1-E85 driver Drew Folie has made 6 runs with an average of  699.08 mpg. No one else has an average above 200.

Car number 2-Stock division driver Jacob Sorensen has made 3 runs with an average of  615.95 mpg.  Next closest is at 503.

Car number 4-modified driver Brady Neel has made 3 runs with an average of 798.36 mpg. Second place average is 456 mpg.

Car number 27-experimental driver Jordan Bute has made 4 runs with an average of 641.56 mpg. Second place is at 193 mpg. Just got a report that JB is singing while he's driving:)

We are leading the pack with all our cars!  It has been a hot, sunny day. We have been pushing the water and sunscreen. The kids are looking forward to a dip in the pool!

Day 1

All cars have one lap but a few break downs with tires, carburetor, and few other issues. Then, the main trailer with with the computer programs lost power. Cars are waiting in a a long line. But, the sun is shining!

Arrival

The travel went fine and team is all checked in.  All four cars have passed inspection and are ready for tomorrow.  The team was hungry and enjoyed a supper at Grizzly Resturant.  Time for some sleep.

The team is gearing up for another year at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR).  We leave on Monday morning at 10:00 am.

We are heading home.

Compatition is done, we are packed, awards ceramony is done & we are headed North. 

We have some great results to share.
